Atlantic City Gold Rules
Atlantic City Gold Blackjack is similar in many ways to the original Microgaming version, and although its rules remain the same, it’s a step ahead in terms of style and class.
The rules for this game are as follows:
- The Dealer will peek on 10 value cards and Aces but must stand on all 17.
- Players have the option to double down on ANY two cards and can also double down after a Split. Players can Split up to 3 times to make 4 Hands, however Aces can only be Split once. A Split Ace and a 10 will count as 21 and not Blackjack.
- Unlike 10-value, cards are considered equal in Atlantic City Gold Blackjack and can be split in the same way as like pairs.
- Late surrender is allowed in Atlantic City Blackjack Gold so you can get a good idea of how your hand is developing before fully committing. Chip sizes go all the way up to 200 so you’ll be able to really ramp up the betting pressure and clean up with exciting wins.
Atlantic City Gold Blackjack Basics
Played with 8 decks of 52 cards each, Atlantic City Gold Blackjack may take some time to master, but its an easy game to learn. Just like all versions of Blackjack the game is simple and straightforward, but when it comes to learning strategy, you’ll need to practice and refine your skills to ensure the best possible results.
The objective of the game is to beat the dealer to a hand that equals 21, or as close to 21 as possible. The dealer takes a hole card and when he has either an Ace or a card worth 10 in value he will peak at the hole card to see whether he has Black Jack or not. Black Jack is a hand that equals exactly 21, and this hand automatically wins. If the dealer has 21, he will win outright, as would the player.
If neither the player nor dealer has 21 the game continues and the player can choose from multiple options, including splitting pairs, doubling any 2 cards, hitting or standing. There’s also the option of insurance in Atlantic City Gold Blackjack, and this can be purchased if the dealer has an Ace showing.
