New Online Casino Expo Heads To Vegas

As the entire world came to a grinding halt last year thanks to the global health crisis, several Las Vegas casinos were also forced to dim their lights. This resulted in numerous cancellations of some of the most hotly anticipated new online casino events. One such event was the Global Gaming Expo. Thankfully, after a year of ups and downs, the event’s organisers have announced that the in-person show will return to Las Vegas in October of this year.
The American Gaming Association (AGA) and Reed Exhibitions are planning to produce the show together. Also known as G2E, this expo is held every year for professionals in the gaming industry to gather together in order to share their knowledge and to learn more from each other about the new online casino products and services to hit the market.
Last Year’s Cancellations
Before any of us fully understood the extent of the health crisis spreading across the world, many were optimistic about being able to open up and move forward with regular activities within a few months or, even more optimistically, a few weeks. Unfortunately, this was not to be the case and organisers of G2E had to cancel the live event because of the risks involved. Furthermore, the restrictions placed on international travel meant that most of the regular attendees would not be present at the event.
When the decision to cancel last year’s event was made, organisers decided that they would instead provide a new online casino virtual event. In October 2020, a series of options, including platforms for presentations and product showcases, were created virtually.
This Year’s Event
In light of the progress made towards containing the global health crisis, G2E’s event organisers have decided to proceed and host the new online casino expo from 4 to 7 October this year. Here, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the industry from their peers, as well as from other experts in the field. The event will also include panel discussions, presentations and a host of guest speakers.
As it currently stands, there are no social distancing restrictions in place in Las Vegas. The organisers made the decision to proceed with this event due to the fact that federal health guidelines have determined that it is safe to do so. A spokesperson for AGA, Meredith Pallante, expressed the firm’s excitement at being able to bring the live event back this year. She said that being able to gather again marks another milestone in recovery from the crisis.
