Gaming Realms Extend Slingo Online Bingo Deal
Gaming Realms, the online Bingo and casino game software developer, has announced an extension of its ongoing Slingo agreement with gambling tech firm, Scientific Games. This comes in the wake of the two companies revealing a brand new four-year licensing deal with each other.
With this deepened partnership between the two, Gaming Realms will be afforded the opportunity to offer branded digital lottery tickets. Previously, the agreement between the two gave Scientific Games exclusive rights to produce and create Slingo-branded, terminal generated and draw-based games, as well as instant scratch games.
Existing Agreement Continued
The Slingo online Bingo-style feature has appeared in Scientific Games’ licensed product portfolio since the year 2000. This portfolio has extended to the North American, Australian, New Zealand, United Kingdom and European markets. As such, this renewed deal will see the two-decades-old existing agreement continued at least for another four years.
In a statement, Scientific Games’ Director of Lottery Licensed Properties, Liz Johnson, said that in her experience, online Bingo players have always loved Slingo. She added that the company is thrilled to have the chance to continue to innovate more exciting digital and retail Slingo games. These games have long been used to help lotteries generate funding for beneficiary programs.
The Director added that Slingo has made for perfect extended play instant games. These kinds of games have increased in sales by a whopping 26% over the past year alone. Retails sales of all Slingo-branded games have gone up by 87% between May of last year and May of this year. The prize feature on these games include an instant win feature. This gives players the chance to win instant cash prizes.
2021 Ahead Of Expectations
Just last month, Gaming Realms reported that trading for 2021 has been operating slightly ahead of expectations. This continues the “excellent progress” momentum that was achieved over the course of last year.
Gaming Realms has said that its licensing revenue for the first quarter of 2021 is 60% ahead of the first quarter of last year. The figure reached a whopping £2.1 million compared to last year’s £1.3 million.
Michael Buckley, the Executive Chairman of Gaming Realms, said that the company is delighted to extend its licensing agreement with Scientific Games. He added that both parties value the relationship that they have built by working very closely together over the last 20 years. The two’s collaboration on online Bingo style Slingo lottery products has been very successful to date. The tickets sold top 550 million, with a total value of $1.7 billion.
