Gaming Realms, the developer and licensor of mobile-focused online Bingo and casino content, has recently signed a licensing agreement with Pragmatic Play. The latter is a developer and supplier of games. The agreement will allow Gaming Realms to produce Pragmatic Play’s themed Slingo games.
This agreement also enables Gaming Realms to license brands from Pragmatic Play’s portfolio, which seems to grow day by day. These brands include Wolf Gold, Sweet Bonanza and Slingo. Interestingly, Gaming Realms actually acquired the Slingo business and intellectual property as far back as 2015. This acquisition allowed the company to establish itself as one of the most highly regarded online Bingo developers and licensors of games within the international gaming market.
Attention On Developing New Games
In 2019, Gaming Realms sold it real-money gaming business to River iGaming. River iGaming is a company listed in Oslo. The deal was completed for a total of £11.5 million. The main aim of this deal was to allow Gaming Realms to focus its full attention on the development of new online Bingo and other games and the international licensing of the Slingo brand. The proceeds of this sale went into boosting its development and licensing units.
Slingo was first introduced to the market in 1995. At the time, it comprised of a blend of slot and online Bingo games that were crafted into a single, recognisable brand. The Gaming Realms Slingo Originals arms creates and licenses original gaming content. All of this content is designed around the Slingo brand.
Gaming Realms is fully licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Alchemybet Limited. It is also listed on the London Stock Exchange.
A Perfect Fit For Slingo
Michael Buckley, the Executive Chairman of Gaming Realms, said that the company’s partnership with Pragmatic Play opens up a range of cross-sell benefits for both parties. He added that this newly formed licensing alliance will place a key focus on innovating online Bingo and other content within the digital iGaming space. Mr Buckley went on to praise Pragmatic Play for creating such engaging and immersive content, stating that it fits perfectly with the Slingo brand.
Yossi Barzely, the Chief Business Development Officer of Pragmatic play, said that creating memorable gaming experiences has become a priority for the company. He added that Gaming Realms has been able to achieve an excellent reputation through its Slingo portfolio. Mr Barzely also noted that the company feels very positive about the potential that Pragmatic Play’s Slingo games has.
