In Canada’s latest gaming news, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has revealed that they have extended their exclusive licensing agreement with global gaming solutions supplier Scientific Games. Under the deal extension, the OLG will continue to offer players instant games from the reputable betting firm. The extended agreement will see the OLG distributing SG’s instant-win lottery games through its gaming platforms until July 31, 2022 earliest. The Canadian region has long branded their own instant lotto tickets using the names of games like Words With Friends and Scrabble, which has improved sales thanks to the widespread familiarity of the brands in question.

Vice Presidents’ Comments

Commenting on the agreement extension, Vice President of Lottery Marketing and Planning at OLG, Randy Weyersberg, noted that Scientific Games is a trusted supplier of lottery games for the state of Ontario. According to the VP, the OLG is looking forward to more exciting and innovative instant lottery games that will immerse its players and create even more revenues for the Canadian province. John Schulz, the Senior Vice President of Instant Products at Scientific Games, also added his comment on the developments. He noted that his company is thrilled to be able to continue its job of supplying the latest and greatest instant win games to OLG’s various iGaming platforms.

Schultz continued, noting that for many years now, Scientific Games and its predecessor firms have proudly supplied fully secure and responsible casino games to help generate revenues for OLG and the province of Ontario. His company will now be able to continue this task for the next four years at least, making the deal beneficial to all parties involved.
