Playtech Wins Online Casino Award
In the wake of an in-depth evaluation of Playtech’s operations, GamCare has announced that the firm has been selected to receive its first ever safe gaming standard. This newly-designed standard looks at several factors, including leadership support and the online casino company’s culture, as well as the ways in which production teams incorporate safer gambling measures into the design and the development of each product.
According to GamCare, based on Playtech’s casino products, as well as all of its platform operations that are licensed within the United Kingdom, the company was selected to receive the award for implementing safer gambling standards.
Raising The Bar For The Industry
Richard Bayliss, a Senior Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Manager at Playtech, expressed how proud the firm is to have been awarded this honour from GamCare. He also added that through Playtech’s online casino products and services, many of which serve as beacons of industry leadership, the firm has always worked very closely together with its licensees in order to promote the raising of responsible business and safer gambling standards.
Mr Bayliss added that since 2018, Playtech has made of point of increasing its strategic focus by working alongside academics, thought leaders, charities and the gambling sector in order to deliver on its commitments to sustainable success. He continued by saying that Playtech is pleased that GamCare has made a point of recognising the efforts made by firms to place safer, responsible gambling at the heart of everything they do. Bayliss also vowed that Playtech would continue to challenge itself and develop new online casino products and solutions that will help to meet the needs of regulators, customers and licensees.
The GamCare Safer Gambling Standard
Hayley Jane Smith, who is the Head of Safer Gambling Standards at GamCare, said that Playtech has been awarded level two out of three in her firm’s B2B standard because the company demonstrated a clear focus and understanding of the need to continue to develop and improve upon its approach to safer gambling.
She added that Playtech’s offering was tested through thorough reviews of its product design, governance, staff training and innovation across all levels of management. Ms Smith concluded by saying that GamCare is looking forward to continuing its relationship with Playtech as it works to improve on its safer gambling measures.
The GamCare safer gambling standard is an independent measure of quality that evaluates the steps that online casino businesses have put in place in order to protect its customers from all of the potential harms related to gambling.
